Scott County Arts & Cultural Center 2012

The Arts & Cultural Center's receptions and educational events associated with exhibits held at the Gallery and ArtZone are updated on our website. Local and regional authors', musicians', artisans', and artists' classes, workshops, and work are scheduled to compliment the exhibition calendar throughout the year.

February 1 to March 17: "Landscapes", Painter Robert L. Williams

February 10 to March 17: "The Homeplace" Photographs from historic African American hamlets in Kentucky's inner Bluegrass region, Sarah Hoskins, documentary photographer; Open House reception Sunday, February 19, 3-5 pm.

February 18, "Afternoon with the Artist" Seminar exploring Sarah Hoskins experiences beginning at 2 p.m.

March 25 to April 29: "ENSŌ, Tapestries, Photographs, and Poems", Dobree Adams & Jonathan Greene

Reception for the Artists: Sunday, March 25, 3 - 5 p.m.

April 1, "Asian Influences in American Poetry", Remarks & Reading, Jonathan Greene, 4 p.m. Optional: meet Jonathan Greene at Yuko-En Garden, walk with Jonathan to the gallery, beginning at 2 p.m.

April 15 and 29, "ON SEEING: Photography & Bookmaking", Dobree Adams

Two part workshop, 2 - 5 p.m.; prior registration required

May 11 to June 29: "Floral Fusion - Art in Nature" Artists work fused by floral designers; Opening reception Friday May 11, 5-7 PM, Floral Fusion Gala reception, Friday, June 29, 7-9PM

July 15 to August 25: "Framed" Scott County artists and photographers

September 14 to October 24: "American Academy of Equine Art Fall Open Juried Exhibition" regional, national and international artists

November 6 to December 20: "Gallery & Gifts Holiday Market" fundraiser featuring local and regional artists, artisans, and authors
